It feels summer has finally struck. Everyone is coming and going and schedules seem to be topsy turvy. I wish you all a wonderful summer and hope you have the chance to go somewhere fun and/or make something wonderful.
Our next meeting is this Saturday, June 14th, at Quilt n Stitch, 6049 Cypress St, West Monroe, LA 71291. We will meet 10:00 – 12:00. If you would like to stay and sew after the meeting, feel free. Personally, I may be staying to work on my Michael Miller fabric challenge. These are due July 25th, and I am so behind!
Discussion will be on color theory. I’m continually amazed that the simplest colors are put together to create magical palettes in fabric. For me, color creates such a mood, good or bad. Some quilters seem to have a gift of bringing colors together that just sing. I Want That Gift! :-))
This Saturday, bring a handful of fabric scraps/fat quarters in an array of colors. We can each discuss how we see color combinations and see what effect the different choices bring.
Optional: For anyone interested, fat quarters may be swapped at the end of the meeting.
As always, bring your latest creations for show and tell.
See you soon,
